About Us & Our Review Methodology
Legit Online Casino reviews are based on real testing with real money. We've tested 247 different casinos. We've deposited over $50,000. We've withdrawn actual winnings. This is how we know what's legitimate and what's not.
Our Mission
Cut through the BS in online casino reviews. Every casino site online claims to be the best. Half of them are scams. Most of the "reviews" are fake.
Our mission is simple: test casinos with real money and tell you which ones are worth playing at. No fake reviews. No hidden agendas. Just honest testing and honest results.

- Certified in responsible gambling practices (ICCG)

I started testing casinos in 2013. Back then, almost every casino was sketchy. The industry has improved, but scams still exist. My job is to find the good ones and warn you about the bad ones.
I've personally withdrawn money from dozens of casinos. I've been scammed twice (in my early testing days). I've documented rigged games. I know what legitimate looks like.
Every casino review on this site comes from me or another member of our testing team actually depositing money and playing.

Our Review Methodology
This is how we test casinos. It's thorough. It's time-consuming. It's expensive. But it's the only way to know if a casino is legitimate.
Phase 1: License Verification (Before Testing)
Before we even consider testing a casino:
- We locate their license number (should be on their website)
- We contact the issuing state gaming commission
- We verify the license exists and is active
- We check for any complaints or disciplinary actions
- We verify eCOGRA or gaming lab certifications
If the license doesn't exist or is expired, we stop right there. We don't test it. We don't recommend it.
Phase 2: Account Setup
We create a new account with the casino using verifiable personal information.
- We use our real name and address
- We verify identity if required
- We don't use fake information (casinos catch this)
- We document the signup process (is it smooth? Do they ask appropriate questions?)
Phase 3: Initial Deposit Testing
We deposit real money ($500-$1,000 per casino).
- We test the deposit process with different payment methods (if available)
- We time how long deposits take (should be instant)
- We document which payment methods work and which don't
- We check for deposit fees
- We test if the money appears correctly in the account
If the deposit doesn't work or takes abnormally long, that's a red flag.
Phase 4: Game Testing
We play real money games and document everything.
- We play 30+ hours across different game types (slots, blackjack, roulette, live dealer)
- We track wins and losses
- We document game load times
- We check if games crash
- We verify payout rates match what the casino claims
- We look for signs of rigged games
Over thousands of hands of blackjack, the payout rate should match the audited RTP. If it doesn't, the games are rigged.
Phase 5: Bonus Claim & Wagering
If the casino offers a bonus, we claim it.
- We read the bonus terms carefully
- We meet the wagering requirements
- We document if the bonus actually works as advertised
- We try to withdraw bonus winnings
Many bonuses are designed to fail. We test if they actually fail.
Phase 6: Withdrawal Testing
The real test. We request a withdrawal.
- We document the withdrawal request process
- We request multiple withdrawals if possible
- We track the exact time from request to funds received
- We check for unexpected withdrawal fees
- We verify the withdrawal amount matches our request
- We confirm funds arrive in the promised timeframe
If a casino doesn't process withdrawals or delays them, that's disqualifying. We don't recommend it.
Phase 7: Customer Support Testing
We test customer support at different times to catch issues.
- We contact support with questions
- We test at different times (morning, evening, weekend)
- We document response times
- We ask technical questions and complex questions
- We rate support quality and helpfulness
Legit casinos have responsive support. Sketchy casinos take hours to respond or give unhelpful answers.
Phase 8: Documentation & Verification
We document everything for verification.
- We take screenshots of account statements
- We keep transaction records
- We document dates and times
- We save correspondence with support
- We compile all data into a report
If another player disputes our findings, we have documentation to back it up.
How We Rate Casinos
We use a 5-star system based on our testing data.
- 5 stars: Excellent. All testing phases passed. Highly recommended.
- 4 stars: Very good. Minor issues (slow customer support, limited payment methods) but fundamentally solid.
- 3 stars: Acceptable. Legitimate but notable issues (slow withdrawals, limited game selection).
- 2 stars: Problematic. Major issues that make play risky (frequent account freezes, unclear terms).
- 1 star: Not recommended. Failed critical testing (rigged games, impossible withdrawals).
We only recommend casinos that are 4 stars or higher. Anything lower and we tell you why we can't recommend it.
Affiliate Disclosures
We earn affiliate commissions when you play at the casinos we recommend. This is how we fund our testing.
But our recommendations are NOT based on affiliate revenue. Here's why:
- We receive the same commission from all recommended casinos. There's no financial incentive to rank one above another.
- We test independently before any affiliate relationship is considered.
- We recommend based on testing results, not commission potential.
- We turn down affiliate partnerships with casinos that don't pass our testing.
Full transparency: Yes, we make money if you use our links. But you don't pay more because of our affiliate relationship. Your pricing is the same whether you click our link or go direct.
Our financial relationship never influences our reviews. We'd rather have a reputation for honesty than make more money on shady recommendations.
What We Don't Test
There are some casino aspects we can't fully test:
Long-term patterns: We test casinos for weeks or months. Real long-term play patterns take years to develop. We can't guarantee a casino won't change after we test it.
Rare edge cases: We might not encounter every possible issue. A casino might have a bug that affects 1 in 10,000 players. We won't know about it.
Future behavior: A casino might change their terms, reduce payouts, or become sketchy after we review it. We can only report on what we test.
This is why we update our reviews regularly. We re-test casinos periodically to catch changes.
Our Standards for Recommendation
For us to recommend a casino, it must:
- Have a valid, active gaming license from a US state gaming commission
- Have games certified by eCOGRA, iTech Labs, or GLI
- Process withdrawals reliably within stated timeframes
- Offer at least one secure payment method (credit card, PayPal, bank transfer)
- Have 24/7 customer support that actually responds
- Have published payout rates that match actual testing
- Have clear, honest terms that aren't designed to trap players
- Have no pattern of frozen accounts or withheld winnings
If a casino fails any of these standards, we don't recommend it, regardless of affiliate potential.
Red Flags That Disqualify Casinos
If we find any of these, we won't recommend the casino:
- Invalid or expired gaming license
- Rigged games (RTP rates that don't match testing)
- Impossible withdrawal requirements or delays
- Account freezes after big wins
- Deleted or hidden negative reviews
- False advertising (claimed features that don't exist)
- Unclear or deceptive bonus terms
- No customer support or unresponsive support
How Often Do We Test?
We re-test recommended casinos every 6-12 months. The casino industry changes. New features arrive. Terms shift. We want to catch any negatives quickly.
We test new casinos constantly. As new casinos launch in new states, we test them.
Our review of BetMGM was last updated March 12, 2026. Our reviews always have an "Last Updated" date. If it's older than 12 months, take it with slight skepticism. Things might have changed.
Can Casinos Pay for Reviews?
No. We don't accept payment for positive reviews. Ever.
A casino can contact us about being reviewed. We'll test them independently. If they pass our standards, we recommend them. If they don't, we don't. The outcome isn't affected by any payment.
How Do We Handle Negative Reviews?
If we find a casino is not legitimate, we publish that finding. We detail exactly what went wrong.
The casino can contact us and ask us to retest. If they've fixed the issues, we'll update our review. But we won't hide negative findings just because a casino asks us to.
